Context
Boutique Hotel San Roque has something that is difficult to build and easy to lose: character. Cultural character, understated elegance and local authenticity. A way of being that cannot be improvised and that, if poorly communicated, disappears into the noise of the hospitality industry.
The challenge was not to modernize the hotel’s image.
It was to ensure that every touchpoint, physical or digital, conveyed the same sensibility that defines the experience of staying there.

The Challenge
In hospitality, brand consistency is not a one-off problem. It is a systemic one: multiple touchpoints, a constant flow of materials and very few structures capable of maintaining a consistent standard over time.
San Roque did not need a redesign.
It needed a way to sustain its identity in day-to-day operations.
An Ongoing Creative Direction Model
Elastic took on the brand’s creative direction through an ongoing collaboration model.
Decisions were not limited to isolated deliverables. We defined a visual and editorial system that could evolve organically and adapt to the hotel’s real needs without losing coherence. This meant participating in decisions beyond design itself: prioritisation, coordination with the internal team and responding to unexpected requirements as they emerged.

We defined and documented the hotel’s visual system as a living, evolving framework: tone of voice, narrative rhythm and graphic criteria applicable across any medium.

Every touchpoint is an opportunity to reinforce the brand or weaken it.
We designed the materials that shape the guest experience: menus, editorial pieces, signage, event materials and printed assets, all guided by the same principles that underpin the wider system.
Extending Consistency into the Digital Environment
The project began as a website optimisation initiative and evolved into a broader structural and editorial review.
We redesigned user flows, created new pages aligned with the business’s actual needs and established a digital tone of voice consistent with the broader brand narrative.

Art Direction and Content
Consistency does not stop at design.
It extends to imagery, content and the way the hotel presents itself to the world.
We developed the art direction for the hotel’s photography and video assets and reorganised its Instagram presence around a consistent visual and narrative approach.
The goal was not to publish more content, but to build a presence with intention, consistent in every image and every message.
